The year was 1930 when the Bourdeau family inaugurated a hotel in the city of Saint. Chrysotome. Numerous travelling salesmen and workers from neighbouring yards would come to the hotel for lodging.
In 1945, Eximere Bourdeau undertook the construction of a larger hotel to meet to ever-increasing demand. The project was monumental.

In the 60’s and 70’s, the latest trend for hotels was grills, and the Bourdeau was no exception. Saturday nights at the hotel would see up to 750 people eating, drinking and dancing to the sound of an orchestra.
In 1993, as the business develops successfully, premises were expanded. The restaurant and kitchen capacity were doubled, as André launched with his mother Francine Bourdeau a catering service.
Initially, a snack-bar (“Chez Dédé) and the premises for a bar were built.

In 2009, André’s son, Alexandre Usereau, takes over the business with his mother, Lyne Veroneau. Their commitment is to customer-satisfaction, and they strive to offer tasty, innovative, and personalized products, while keeping with the original family recipes.
In the early 1950’s, lodging at the Bourdeau Hotel cost five dollars, which included a room, breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Sadly, on January 26 1980, the Hotel Bourdeau was destroyed in a fire, then razed entirely. It was the end of an era. The land remained abandoned for years.

The construction was a 220-foot-deep, 70-wide building erected on three floors. On the ground floor was a bowling alley and a restaurant of a hundred seats. The second floor held three reception halls accommodating up to 700 guests, plus 28 rooms, as well as lodging for the Bourdeau family.

During this period, Francine Bourdeau, daughter of Eximere, managed the hotel with an iron fist. The ground-floor restaurant, as well as the bar and the tavern, quickly gained notoriety throughout the Montérégie region for their superior food and entertainment.
As luck would have it, in 1987, the grandson of the founder, André Usereau, was the one who acquired the land.
